Epitaph began a series of works on paper that explore text and the denotative power of typographic form and material choices. The vaguely flesh colored paper is intended to be symbolic of our ephemeral and imperfect existence. The text is imagined as a mantra that acknowledges human attachments and failures.

 

As a teacher of typography, this on-going series provides a forum to explore meaning through material and form. The text is intended to be vaguely allusive.
