Nine pieces that together build a wall of words to provide a buffer against the ugly rhetoric of the 45th president. A fragile piece of paper is needle punctured to create a textual shield that floats in the center of a protective lead field. The frame is buffed with graphite and wax to create a dense black that reveals its nicks and wounds suggesting an armor built from time and experience. Eight say "protect" while the center reads "us."
