SunCoast Humane Society Donor Wall (completed 2025)
©2022 Stephanie Cunningham

This Suncoast Humane Society donor wall is intended to create a positive message of connection between animals and their human care takers, as well as between the organization and the donors who support the mission.

Collar tags were chosen as inspiration because they symbolize that a pet is connected to people and a home.

Repeating circles containing patterns of various tags and donor sizes represent both a micro and macro view of life; from the cellular to the universe. The circles symbolize the

holistic view we should take as caretakers of the planet and all the lives that inhabit it.

The wall begins with color circles to ensure an engaging visual at the early stages of the project. The wall will come to life with names over time. The design is intended to be dynamic with activity and memories. The material and hanging method allows for movement generated by airflow, shadows, and reflections.

The design of this wall can continue to grow beyond the circles shown. One circle can be reserved for donors who choose to give in memory of a pet. Another area may be devoted entirely to the actual tags of beloved pets who have passed. This provides recognition for a range of donors and a legacy of love that originates at the Suncoast Humane Society.
